Haleigh Baker, Amanda Lee and Brooke McCullough have been awarded Gambrell Scholarships to East Georgia State College for fall semester 2014.
The Gambrell Leadership Scholarships honor Senator David Gambrell and Mrs. Luck Flanders Gambrell and family and the contributions they have made to East Georgia State College. The Gambrells were instrumental in the creation of East Georgia State College, then Emanuel County Junior College, by donating land on which the college was established. Senator David and Mrs. Luck Gambrell have continued through the years to improve the college in many areas through generous donations. They not only give to the college, but also the town, county, and local school system.
