A leadership scholarship was established at East Georgia State College in 2005 by Linda Dekle Lamb and the late David Lamb of Swainsboro. The annual scholarship, named the Dekle-Lamb/Kiwanis/Circle K Scholarship, is awarded to the president of the East Georgia State College Circle K Club.

The EGSC Circle K Club, sponsored by the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, adopted the goal of service to students from the club’s inception. The Circle K Club is the campus student version of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club.

The Dekle-Lamb/Kiwanis/Circle K Club Scholarship was presented to Anita Cerpovicz this year. Cerpovicz is a Junior Biology Major at EGSC. She is active in many student organizations, serves as a Student Ambassador and is a Correll Scholar. She is also a member of the Dean’s Merit List.

Cerpovicz is the daughter of Paul and Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz of Statesboro and is a graduate of Trinity Christian School.

Linda and David Lamb were both members of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club and strong supporters of East Georgia State College. After the death of Mr. Lamb in 2005, Mrs. Lamb has continued this annual scholarship for a deserving student.

“I am so delighted to honor the memory of my late husband, David Lamb, the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, and the Circle K Club, through this scholarship to deserving students at EGSC,” commented Linda Dekle Lamb.
