The Groza Learning Center Education Scholarship was created to help students interested in higher education reach their goal of attending college or university. Each year a theme will be chosen and students will have the chance to respond in a short essay. This year, applicants will be asked to explain what ‘redemption’ means to them and how it has played a role in their lives and in their interactions with others. Often times, when students come to Groza that is exactly what they are seeking- a turnaround with a challenging academic skill, concept, class, or a standardized test. After all, doesn’t everyone love a good comeback story? A committee will select a winner by the end of November, 2017. One winner will be selected and receive $1000 towards higher education.
The following people are eligible for the Groza Learning Center Scholarship:
- High school students who graduate in 2017 and have been accepted into a college or university.
- Students currently enrolled in a college or university.
The Groza Learning Center wants to hear about your take on the word ‘redemption’. Please tell us what it means to you and how ‘redemption’ has played a role in your life. This should be a short essay (under 500 words).
Please complete each section of the form below. All fields are required. By submitting an application, the applicant gives Groza Learning Center consent to use their essay, name and information for marketing and promotional purposes.
November 30, 2017
The winner will be selected by the final day in December, 2017. The winner will be contacted by January 7th, 2018 and have two weeks to respond. If no response, a new winner will be selected.
