Admissions Checklist:

  1. Complete the Application for AdmissionLog into or create an account in Be sure to keep a record of your account information.
  2. Pay the $20 non-refundable application fee. You can submit your payment online as you submit the application. You can also mail your payment (check or money order ONLY, do not send cash) to the Swainsboro Business Office. Please include student ID # on payment or waiver.

Click here for approved sample waivers. These are for informational purposes ONLY. Do not print or submit.
  3. Have your guidance counselor send us your preliminary high school transcript. EGSC accepts mailed, faxed, emailed, or e-transcripts that come directly from the high school. To process transcripts, we must recalculate your GPA based on the required high school curriculum, so it may appear lower than you originally anticipated because we do not factor in classes like Art, Drama, Theater, etc.  *Students that do not have a high school diploma can submit a copy of their GED score report
  4. Tell us what classes you are taking during your Senior year. We have to review a list of all courses you are taking during your Senior year of high school if you are still enrolled. This is to be sure you are on track to complete the required high school curriculum.
  5. Send us copies of your SAT/ACT scores (SAT Code - 5200, ACT Code - 0799). Although we do not require SAT/ACT scores for admission purposes, we encourage you to submit the scores if you took either test, as this could allow you to be placed in the college level course.  Get more information about the placement exam. You are allowed to print out an official SAT score report online
  6. Request transcripts from previous colleges/technical institutions. Transcripts must be sent from any and ALL previous colleges / universities as well as any and ALL previous technical institutions, including those taken as a Dual Enrollment/MOWR Student (contact the Registrar's Office at your previous college/technical institutions to send an official transcript). Failure to report a previous institution may result in your denial/dismissal from East Georgia State and you will not receive any Financial Assistance. Transcripts will be considered unofficial if sent via fax or if student has "In Progress" grades at another institution. Those that attended a technical school and earned Hope hours are required to submit a HOPE verification form.
    • The TCSG-USG agreement specifies 27 general education courses that are guaranteed to transfer between SACSCOC-accredited institutions. Course work taken at two-year Technical Colleges which are accredited through the Commission on Colleges and part of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) will be accepted in transfer as stipulated in the articulation agreement between the Board of Regents (BOR) of the University System of Georgia and the TCSG. View the list of courses accepted through the BOR/TCSG articulation.
  7. Check your admissions statusThis status will reflect whatever we have in our records at that exact moment. You will be aware of our admissions decision as soon as it is made without having to wait for an admissions letter.
