COMPASS Test

The COMPASS Test is a placement exam, not an admissions test. Normally, a student has already been admitted when they take the COMPASS Test. The results are given directly to the student at the end of the test, and are to be used with the student's advisor to properly register in appropriate courses. The results are confidential and there is no cost for the COMPASS Test. This diagnostic test is designed to place each student in courses which will prepare him/her for success and achievement in their educational goals. Calculators are permitted. The COMPASS test can be taken any time after an application for admissions has been submitted. The testing lab is open Monday through Thursday (with the exception of holidays) from 8 am until 4 pm. and Friday 8 am to 10 am. No appointment is necessary. Please report to the Admissions Office on the EGC Main Campus in Swainsboro, GA, to take this test.
