Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society
East Georgia State College’s application to host a local chapter of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society was approved in 2017. Known as TriBeta, Beta Beta Beta is the second Honor Society to be hosted on the EGSC campus. The goal of TriBeta is to improve the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extend the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Founded in 1922, the society has over 200,000 members accepted into lifetime membership and over 626 chapters throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, the ESGC local Chapter of Beta Beta Beta, Tau Tau Epsilon Chapter, was installed. In addition, EGSC Beta Beta Beta inducted its first four members. Alicia Winfrey and Joleishia Cooper were inducted as regular members, and Tanner Peebles and Bethaney Fortner were inducted as associated members.
Please contact the Biology Chair if you are interested in joining the EGSC local Chapter of TriBeta or have any questions.
