Hi and welcome!

We are very glad to have you here at East Georgia College and hope to be instrumental in starting you on a very successful trip toward completion of your undergraduate degree.  You are all entering a stage of your life where you will begin to hear more about responsibility.  Webster's definition is, "moral, legal or mental accountability."  Each day, you will be faced with more and more responsibility.  You will have to decide what courses to take, when to take them, what program of study is right for you, how to comprehend and retain appropriate academic material and many, many more issues. The best piece of advice I might give you is……Be Responsible.  Take each opportunity as it is presented to you and consider possible outcomes and effects.  What is best for you down the road?  And…you are not  expected to face these situations alone.  Everyone here at East Georgia College has but one purpose, and that is to assist you.  If you have questions, ask.  If you have problems, ask.  If you simply need some guidance, ask.  Hopefully, this information provided will make your progression through each term here at East Georgia College as smooth as possible.  And remember, BE RESPONSIBLE.
