BUSINESS OFFICE FAQs

How do I know how much my tuition and fees are?

Email invoices are sent to students' East Georgia College email addresses after registration. You should also check your Banner Web account to determine your tuition and fee charges.

If I am receiving financial aid, how can I determine if it has been processed and applied to my charges?

Check your Banner Web account to determine if your financial aid has been applied to your charges.

If my financial aid has been processed and I am receiving a refund check, when will it be available?

East Georgia College and Higher One have formed a partnership to handle Financial Aid refunds. The first disbursement of Financial Aid refunds for a semester is usually two weeks into the semester. Subsequent disbursements of Financial Aid refunds will tentatively be each Friday. Please allow at least one week after any aid appears on your Banner Web account before expecting a refund. You may log on to: www.easyrefundcard.com to check and see if your refund has been deposited.

Will I be able to use my financial aid to purchase books?

If your financial aid award amount has been applied to your account and exceeds the amount of tuition and fees you owe, and you have authorized EGC to deduct additional charges (bookstore, parking permits, etc.) from any excess financial aid, you may charge books at the East Georgia College Bookstore on the Swainsboro campus.

How do I authorize EGC to deduct additional charges from excess financial aid?

Instructions for authorizing financial aid for purchasing books and non-institutional expenses are on the East Georgia College website (www.ega.edu) . On the left side of the page, select "Current Students," then select "Authorize Financial Aid."

If I don't receive financial aid, when must I pay my tuition and fees?

It is a Board of Regents policy that all fees be due and payable upon registration. Please check the academic calendar, www.ega.edu, to find out the final fee payment deadline for each semester. Email invoices are also sent to your East Georgia College email account and will include the fee payment deadline date. Please pay all Tuition and Fees on or before the final fee payment deadline to avoid losing your classes in the non-payment drop.

How and where do I pay tuition and fees?

You may pay tuition and fees using the following methods.

  • CASH - payment by cash should be made at the Business Office on the Swainsboro campus. Our office at the Statesboro Center does not accept cash amounts greater than 20.00.

  • CHECK or MONEY ORDER - Check/Money Orders must be made payable to East Georgia College and can be made at the Business Office on the Swainsboro campus or at the EGCS Statesboro Center located on Fair Road, or can be mailed to East Georgia College, Business Office, 131 College Circle, Swainsboro, GA 30401. Please notate the student's ID number on the check/money order.

  • ONLINE - payment can be made online by check or credit/debit card through the student's BannerWeb account. If you are making an online credit card payment you will be redirected to PayPath. Payments through PayPath are charged a non-refundable 2.75% “convenience fee”. There is no charge for making a webcheck payment through your BannerWeb account.
