Mike Brantley is entering his first season as an assistant baseball coach at EGSC. Coach Brantley graduated from Georgia Southern University in Spring 2012 with a degree in Sports Management and a double-minor in Business and Coaching. He is currently working towards his Master's Degree in Athletic Coaching at Georgia Southern as well.

Coach Brantley attended Keene High School in Keene, NH and was a member of three consecutive #1-ranked Class L baseball teams. He decided that he wanted to pursue a career as a baseball coach and chose to attend Georgia Southern University on an academic scholarship. As a freshman, he worked as the equipment manager for the GSU Varsity Baseball team. After earning this valuable experience working for a Div. 1 baseball program, he took on his first head coaching job as the coach of the GSU Club Baseball team. He led the program to its only winning record in club history and was nominated for Club Sports Coach of the Year. As a college junior, Coach Brantley completed his coaching minor by doing his required practicum as an assistant baseball coach at Statesboro High School under Coach Chris Bishop. After the season ended, he returned to his hometown of Keene, NH to coach the Keene Blue Jays of the CNEBA and to give instruction at the Franklin Pierce University Baseball Camps. To finish up his degree in Sport Management, Coach Brantley completed an internship working for the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau under Tim Osborne, where he was able to scout players from the southeast GA region, including five draft picks in the first 5 rounds of the 2012 MLB Draft. Coach Brantley returned to the dugout as a coach in Fall 2012 where he plans to continue to pursue a career as a collegiate coach.
