Lady Bobcats Fall to Georgia Highlands

Lady Bobcats Fall to Georgia Highlands

A slow start offensively forced the East Georgia College Lady Bobcats to fall to Georgia Highlands by a score of 68-40. The loss put the Lady Bobcats at 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference for the season.

The Lady Bobcats couldn’t get into any kind of rhythm offensively in the first half, despite playing good defense, and only scored nine points. The lack of scoring in the first half put the team in a hole that they couldn’t dig out of, despite playing well on defense throughout the game and played well overall in the second half.

Keamoney Locke only scored two points, but continued her dominating rebounding of late with 17 against Georgia Highlands. She also added an assist, one block, and two steals.  Chasity Mullins ended up with 11 points, three rebounds, and three steals.

Treniece Boles and Tierney Haythe were big off the bench, giving the Lady Bobcats some much needed offense. Both ended up with 12 points, with Boles also having an assist and a block, while Haythe also had two rebounds a steal.

The Lady Bobcats next game will be against Florida State College on January 2nd.
