The East Georgia State College Bobcats came up with another conference win against South Georgia Tech by a score of 83-76 in overtime.
It was a game of two halves, as the Bobcats fairly dominated the first half, heading into the locker room up 43-32 at halftime largely because they forced several turnovers that led to easy baskets. That switched in the second half as the Jets were able to send the game overtime after outscoring the Bobcats 38-27 in the second half, making it 70-70 at the end of regulation.
The Bobcats upped their intensity in the overtime period and got up 77-72 within about a minute and a half and were able to up that lead by the time overtime ended, ending with a victory.
It was a game that showed D.J. Felder put up another double-double on the season, going for 13 points and 15 rebounds down low for the Bobcats. He also added five assists, one steal, and three blocks to his stat line.
Tre Hagood went for 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, one block, and three steals, yet again putting a dent in all phases of the stat sheet.
Jordan Johnson scored 14 points in a game where he handled the ball a little more as a point guard, he also would add three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Larry Bullock scored 17 points with two rebounds, one assist, and two steals. It was one of his more impressive performances of the year with him making several key free throws and shots in the second half while the team was struggling to score.
The win was a big rebound after losing their first conference game to Chattahoochee Tech the day before. The win keeps the Bobcats at the top of the conference standings with a 12-1 record, and 20-2 overall.
